Absorbable Fixation System >>>
The S
ORBA
F
IX
™ Absorbable Fixation System is unique from its design, to its delivery, to its easy-to-see color. It is indicated for prosthetic mesh fixation and the approximation of soft tissue in laparoscopic and open surgeries. The S
ORBA
F
IX
™ Absorbable Fixation System is pre-loaded with either 15 or 30 absorbable fasteners that are deployed via a 5mm, low-profile delivery system.
Benefits:
Repair strength 7x greater than maximum Intraabdominal Pressure (IAP).
1,2
Threaded, hollow core allows for tissue in-growth through interior of fastener.
The consistent diameter of the threads from head to tip and fastener length are designed to maximize tissue engagement.
Obturator with piloting tip accurately pilots fastener through mesh and tissue.
Atraumatic blunt tip fastener with smooth head and no exposed points.
Absorption of the poly (D, L) -- lactide (PLA) fasteners is nearly complete at approximately 12 months post implantation, leaving less foreign material behind.
