The Davol® Salute® II Disposable Fixation Device

The Salute II Disposable Fixation Device is an innovative device that provides secure prosthetic fixation utilizing suture-like Q-rings and is fully disposable. The Salute II Disposable Fixation Device fixates using smooth, strong stainless steel Q-ring shaped constructs that do not leave a sharp edge. The fixation method is quick and easy to use, yet safe and effective. The Salute II Disposable Fixation Device offers the following benefits to the surgeon:

  • Procedure specific fixation – 10 and 30 Q-ring constructs – available for both laparoscopic and open hernia procedures
  • Award-winning† suture-like fixation
  • Fully disposable design
  • Circular shape of Q-ring leaves no sharp end points exposed
  • Q-rings can be removed without damage to mesh or tissue, if necessary, using a unique removal device

Additional features of the Salute II Disposable Fixation Device are as follows:

Rotary Tip allows surgeons to:

  • Easily achieve appropriate angle to tissue when fixating
  • Rotate the tip 90° in each direction
  • Ergonomically use the device with less awkward positioning

Low Count Light

  • Low count light provides a visual cue when nearing the end of the constructs

Trigger Lock Out:

  • Lock out feature prevents surgeons from going beyond usable amount of constructs

Centimeter marks on Salute II shaft:

  • Allows for convenient intracorporeal measurement of the defect
